Przez większą część życia mieszka w Warszawie, ale wychowała się na Podlasiu – regionie, który ukształtował jej bliski związek z naturą i wrażliwość na wielokulturowość. Mimo, że przez wiele lat zawodowo związana była z biznesem, to jednak w fotografii przyrody odnalazła swoją pasję i autentyczny język twórczy. Fotografuje od ponad 15 lat, konsekwentnie rozwijając autorską estetykę opartą na oszczędnej formie, subtelnej kolorystyce i harmonii kompozycji. Punktem zwrotnym w jej twórczości stało się spotkanie z żurawiami o świcie na odrzańskich rozlewiskach – odtąd właśnie ptaki stały się centralnym motywem jej prac. Choć z aparatem dociera w odległe zakątki świata, w tym coraz częściej w regiony polarne, równie często wraca do rodzimych krajobrazów. Pociąga ją cisza, przestrzeń i naturalny rytm przyrody – zwłaszcza tam, gdzie światło i detale układają się w proste, emocjonalne obrazy. Jej twórczość nie ogranicza się do dokumentowania. Bliska jest jej definicja fotografii zaproponowana przez Susan Sontag w książce O fotografii: „(…) zdjęcia są dowodem, nie tylko na to co jest, lecz i na to, co fotograf widzi: nie tylko samym zapisem, ale i własną oceną świata”. Charakterystyczny dla Ewy styl został dostrzeżony i doceniony przez innych artystów. W swoich komentarzach zwracają uwagę na widoczny na zdjęciach minimalizm, atmosferę spokoju oraz skupienie na kompozycji. Laureatka i finalistka prestiżowych konkursów fotograficznych, takich jak Nature Photographer of the Year czy International Wildbird Photo Competition. W tegorocznym XIX Asferico International Nature Photography Competition jej zdjęcie „dreaming to fly” zdobyło pierwszą nagrodę w kategorii Man and Nature i zostało wybrane na okładkę katalogu konkursowego.
| Ewa has lived in Warsaw for most of her life but was raised in Podlasie, a region in northeastern Poland that shaped her closeness to nature and her appreciation for cultural diversity. Though she spent many years working in the business world, it was through nature photography that she discovered her true passion and artistic language. For over 15 years, she has been developing a distinctive style defined by simplicity, muted colours, and a strong sense of compositional harmony. A pivotal moment in her journey came one misty autumn morning, when she photographed cranes rising from the wetlands at dawn. Since then, birds have remained at the heart of her work. While she often ventures to remote parts of the world – especially the polar regions – she continues to return to familiar Polish landscapes. She is drawn to silence, open space, and the quiet rhythm of nature, especially where light and details form emotionally charged yet understated scenes. Her work goes beyond capturing reality; it reflects a personal interpretation of the world, echoing Susan Sontag’s view in On Photography: “(…) photographs are evidence not only of what is there, but of what the photographer sees: not just a record, but a personal judgement about the world.” Ewa’s distinctive style – balancing between dream and reality – has been recognised and appreciated by fellow artists. In their reflections, they often highlight the striking minimalism in her images, the atmosphere of serenity, and her precise focus on composition. Her work has earned recognition in leading international photography competitions, such as Nature Photographer of the Year or International Wildbird Photo Competition. In 2025, her image “dreaming to fly” won the Man and Nature category at the XIX Asferico International Nature Photography Competition and was featured on the cover of the official catalogue.
